BJSS
Bournemouth Jewish Support Services, BJSS, was established in 2012. BJSS provides confidential welfare and support services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, plus neighbouring districts, and is operated entirely by security and reference-checked and fully trained volunteers.
They focus on tackling social isolation through their befriending program.
They support elderly and disabled clients and their families to help people remain in their own homes for longer.
They help identify the benefits to which clients are entitled and help them to claim them.
They have partnerships with a number of other charities and trusts and are able to support clients to obtain eligible grants.
They also support clients to attend communal events, meals and celebrations.
