Stan

Stan and Jacky used to come to Bournemouth on holiday and grew to love it. They moved to Branksome Park, Bournemouth from Enfield, North London in 1993. Then they moved a couple of times more first to Lilliput and then to Bear Cross. Their daughter lives nearby in Parkstone and their son is in Newbury Park, London.

Their granddaughter Rachel lives in Plymouth as does their grandson Elliot. She works for the NHS while he works for 'The Range'. They also have grandchildren living and working in the Netherlands and Spain.

Stan and Jacky joined Wessex LJC in 2013 and straight away loved the friendliness of it. They enjoy Nat's services and have a special fondness for our Rabbi René. They're both regulars at most of the synagogue services and take a very active part in reading from the Siddur. They both say that they would never consider going anywhere else. Stan says that unlike the more Orthodox services where people often have their private conversations, the Wessex community take their prayers more seriously. Look on the Kiddush Team page to see a picture of Jacky taking a break from preparing a delightful Kiddush buffet in our kitchen.
