ISRAELI MUSIC
This page has to do with celebrating Jewish art, music, culture and Jewish  community generally. So let's get started with music. Hint: pause the video you are listening to before firing up another or you might get two playing over each other.

"You run in my blood" By Aya Korem. Aya is one of my all time favourite singers. Not only has she got a beautiful voice but she has a Hebew accent to die for. Listen and enjoy.  Visit Aya Korem's website by clicking here. Find Aya on MySpace by clicking here and here and on Facebook by clicking here
"Sentir" ("To Feel") by Israeli Judezmo/Ladino singer Yasmin Levy. Yasmin has the voice of an angel. Her singing is so emotionally expressive that one has no need to understand the language. Beautiful. A must have. Check out her website by clicking here. Find Yasmin on MySpace by clicking here and on Facebook by clicking here.
Yedidi Hashachachta by R. Yehuda Halevi
One of my all time favourites. The video includes the lyrics in pointed Hebrew so that you can sing along.
English translation: "My beloved, have you forgotten your favoured one, sheltering beneath your wings? Why have you sold me into bondage? Is there not succour in the land for those who seek you? Is there not a sign in Sier or on Mount Paran or in Sinai for your witness? And will my love be for you and your longing for me? You will give me Sier and the forests of Kedar as the gift of your ancient first-born, as a reward for the yoke of your service. All this is for you alone, my Redeemer and my refuge. Give me your strength because I am yours."
"She Knows" By Ninet Tayeb. A cute lady with a great voice. I love her clear Hebrew accent. Find Ninet on MySpace by clicking here and Facebook by clicking here.  For Ninet's official website click here (Hebrew).
